Ruth, splendid! I loved reading this, it sounds very familiar to me - not the story or the relationship, but the process of writing one's way into a new way of writing (and the extended time period that that takes as the book is arranged and re-arranged endlessly), fragmentary forms that cross lines and barriers. I went through this process while writing a non-fiction PhD, I call it constellation writing after Olga Tokarczuk's Flights, but there's so much more to it. I'm intrigued by poetry which I do write but which I also reject as a separate form. Best of luck with the book, I look forward to reading it.
