It was back in March 2022 that the seed of an idea was planted. I was celebrating my birthday over lunch with my two closest uni friends, and we started talking about the future and work. I’ve never been one for long-term career planning, and am now beginning to appreciate the positives of what I have previously thought to be a weakness. It means I don’t have set ideas about what my future should be like, and I’m open to opportunities and running with something that really grabs my attention. My two friends, however, are great planners (and have stellar careers that match their planning abilities, as well as their skills) so, when one of them said ‘the next big career move will be my last one’ I started sitting up and taking notice.
