Brilliant stuff Rose! Well done for getting out of your comfort zone - sounds like it was well worth it, what an experience! I love that part of the world - used to see a guy who had a chalet in St Jean d'Aulps so I know that area well :)
Thanks Mairi. I wasn't expecting all of that. Ah ha re St Jean. It was great to see what my sis and her husband have created and their love of the snow...
What a great pair of experiences - thank you for sharing!
I try to do something that makes me at least a little uncomfortable every day. Usually it’s not as dramatic as what you’ve described, but just something that keeps me from calcifying.
Today, for instance, I’m going to do a couple of hours of coaching with a CEO client - something I haven’t done for a few years, since I retired from doing client work. Thursday, I’ll be getting my first annual medical checkup here in Spain - in Spanish. 😏
Yes, the icy dip really was about the kind of examples you're talking about. It has led me to go and play tennis in drizzle which I wouldn't normally do etc. Good luck re Spanish and medical check up...
Enchantment - what a great word to describe your adventure right down to the icy dip where many would draw the line. Admiring and envious- thanks for sharing and btw great pics!
Yes, true there's a balance to be had. Just weighing up one now. Shall I go on my own to potentially perform poetry or stay and support some other students around their final portfolio.... the former would have been the one but now the latter has come in...

I'm really interested in enchantment at the moment, using the idea to propel forth a suite of poems. Thank you for your appreciation.
I know exactly what you mean about the little surrenderings. I notice those too and try to counteract them, though sometimes you have to allow them.

What an awesome adventure, Rose, delighted for you.
