and co-founded Advantages of Age which is a social enterprise that challenges the media narrative around ageing. Our next big event is Rebel Later Life: the ideas party which is our kind of conference on OCT 10TH AT CECIL SHARP HOUSE IN CAMDEN. We've done two Awards Ceremonies - which were heartwarming and giving small pro-ageing organisations and individuals awards - and we noticed how much the audience and participants wanted to know more about each other so really we are putting this day event on with that end in view. We envisage it being both fun and serious. There are panel discussions on Ageism and Words, What if We Don't Have Enough Pension, Re-Designing Your Relationship After 50, How to Have a Funky Funeral and discussions on Living in a Co-Housing Community, Is it Possible to Find a Partner after 50, Stepping Into Cronehood and Embracing Age and Rebellious Later in Life Medicine. Cathi Rae who is the punk of older women in style is chairing Ageism and Words, Dr Lucy Pollock who wrote The Golden Rule is talking about Rebellious Later in Life Medicine, she is amazing. AND WE HAVE A FLAMBOYANT FOREVER PHOTO BOOTH AS WELL AS A NETWORKING END OF THE DAY EVENT. I always say we can be serious and fun.
