I think about comfort a lot these days. When it’s essential, how to achieve it, how long I can go without it. Partly this is because of my age (64) and the increased sensitivity that comes with that, and partly because I have a long-term health condition (Long Covid) for which I can ameliorate some symptoms by keeping my body rested and supported. Comfort is a state of being that is easy to take for granted. If you’re comfortable, and therefore not spending time experiencing and ruminating about discomfort, you are free to think and move without restriction.
